About Us
We’re Talia and Maya, friends, founders, and the faces behind Bianca Ray. Based in Auckland, New Zealand, we created Bianca Ray to offer accessible lab grown diamonds without compromise.
Inspired by our heritage and memories of the Mediterranean, our pieces blend timeless elegance with a contemporary edge. Each design is crafted with care using high quality lab grown diamonds and solid gold, chosen thoughtfully to suit how our jewellery is worn.
Our core collections are made in solid 14k gold, selected for its beautiful balance of richness, durability, and longevity. It is the classic fine jewellery standard and forms the foundation of our most timeless pieces. Many of our staple designs also carry IGI accredited grading, giving you confidence in their quality and clarity.
As our collections have evolved, so has the way our jewellery is worn. Layered daily, lived in, and styled from morning through to night. To support this, we also offer select pieces in solid 9k gold. With a higher alloy content, 9k gold is slightly harder and more resilient, making it ideal for everyday wear, layering, and designs made to be worn often.
With Talia’s partner as our lead jewellery designer, every piece is thoughtfully designed to be worn every day, without compromising on quality, ethics, or style.

Our Process
At Bianca Ray, we’re inspired by long lunches in hidden Mediterranean spots, late swims with best friends, and that just-right mix of sunshine and sparkle. We design jewellery that’s made to be lived in diamonds that don’t wait for special occasions, and pieces that feel like part of you from the second you put them on.
From coffee runs to date nights, our styles are built to move with you, not sit in a box. With over 25 years of craftsmanship behind us, we obsess over the little things like oversized backs that keep your studs sitting pretty, or diamonds tucked inside your Huggies just for you to catch in the mirror.
Our name says it all. Bianca means white a nod to the purity of our lab-grown diamonds and our commitment to doing things right. Ray is all about light that dances off a diamond’s facets and the kind that hits the sea on a perfect summer afternoon. Together, they’re the heart of who we are: clean, modern luxury with a sun-soaked soul.

Our Lab-Grown Diamonds
Lab-grown diamonds have well and truly found their place in the jewellery world and for all the right reasons. They offer the same brilliance, structure, and sparkle as mined diamonds, but without the environmental toll. And the best part? You get the freedom to go bigger.
At Bianca Ray, we use only high-quality lab-grown diamonds giving you timeless pieces that shine bright, feel good, and don’t cost the earth.
We use only high quality lab grown diamonds that are chemically, physically, and visually identical to natural diamonds, grown in a controlled environment rather than mined from the earth.
Our larger carat stones are fully certified, offering added assurance for those standout pieces. For our everyday and signature designs, each diamond is carefully hand selected to meet the same high standards of quality and consistency. Most sit between D–F in colour with VS or higher clarity.
Every diamond is set in solid gold, with our collections crafted in either 14ct or select designs in 9ct gold. Each gold choice is intentional, based on the structure and wearability of the piece, while always meeting the same Bianca Ray standards of quality, longevity, and everyday wear.
Because lab grown diamonds offer such consistent quality, certification isn’t always necessary. What matters most is the finished piece. Every Bianca Ray design is crafted to shine brilliantly and be worn with confidence every day.
Our Gold
Most of our pieces are crafted in solid 14k gold, chosen for its beautiful balance of warmth, strength, and longevity. With a higher gold content, it offers that rich glow we all love while remaining durable enough for everyday wear. From the gym to the beach and everywhere in between, 14k gold holds up beautifully without easily tarnishing or scratching.
In select designs, we also use solid 9k gold. This includes certain earrings, pendants, and more playful, everyday pieces designed to be worn often and enjoyed in all kinds of conditions. With a higher alloy content, 9k gold is slightly harder and more resilient, making it well suited to jewellery that moves with you and is worn without overthinking.
Every gold choice is intentional. Whether 9k or 14k, each piece is solid gold, never plated, and crafted to the same Bianca Ray standards of quality, longevity, and wearability.

Transparency & Accreditation
Each of our certified lab-grown diamonds over 0.50 carat comes with detailed, traceable documentation from the International Gemological Institute (IGI) global leaders in grading, education, and accreditation. These certifications offer transparency around the diamond’s quality, origin, and how it was created.
Diamonds under 0.50 carat aren’t individually certified, as they’re graded in parcels but we only source the highest available quality for these stones. For our standout pieces, which are over 0.50 carat, we provide full IGI certification to give you added confidence in their quality and brilliance.
